Junior Caminero confirms his participation with RD for the World Baseball Classic

Santo Domingo, RD.– The Dominican Baseball Federation (Fedom) continues to strengthen the national roster for the 2026 World Baseball Classic, by officially confirming the participation of the young star Junior Caminero, who will fulfill the dream of representing the Dominican Republic on the maximum international stage.

Caminero, one of the most sought-after prospects with the greatest projection in the Major Leagues, joins a group of players that combines youth, talent, and experience, consolidating the Dominican squad as one of the big favorites of the tournament. Along with Caminero, the Federation also announced the integration of pitchers Albert Abreu, Edwin Uceta and Huáscar Brazobán, as well as shortstop Jeremy Peña, who will repeat with the national team after his participation in the 2023 edition. The inclusion of these players reflects the Dominican Baseball Federation’s commitment to forming a competitive, balanced team with depth in all areas, especially in a short-format tournament where every detail makes a difference.
