Tuesday’s games in the Major Leagues had great Latino protagonism with home runs by Julio Rodríguez and Jesús Sánchez, while Dominican Freddy Peralta suffered a tough loss against the Cubs.

Julio Rodriguez approaches another year of 20 HR

The Mariners’ star outfielder, Julio Rodríguez, hit his 19th home run of the season in the first inning of the game against the Oakland Athletics. The solo home run helped put Seattle ahead early and left him just one hit away from securing his fourth consecutive season with 20 or more home runs. In addition, Jorge Polanco contributed with his 17th home run of the year in another outstanding offensive performance for the Mariners.

Jesus Sanchez Leads the Marlins

In the Marlins’ 2-1 victory over the Cardinals, outfielder Jesús Sánchez hit his tenth home run of the campaign, backing a solid performance by starting pitcher Cal Quantrill, who allowed only three hits in five innings to earn his fifth win of the year. The Marlins are still in good form, winning 10 of their last 13 games and 17 of the last 22 as visitors.

Peralta struggles against the Cubs
