La Vega.- The Dominican Republic Summer Baseball League held this Thursday the awards ceremony for the most outstanding players of the 2025 season, in an event held at the Casa de la Cultura in La Vega.

The activity was led by the league president, Juan Núñez Nepomuceno, who highlighted the growth of the circuit and the commitment shown by each organization throughout the competition calendar. Players, managers, technical staff and a large group of guests gathered to recognize the most outstanding performances of the tournament won by the Mineros de Bonao team. During the ceremony, the main awards of the season were announced. The Most Valuable Player award went to Jomar Reyes, of the Bonao Miners, thanks to his offensive impact and leadership on the field. The Pitcher of the Year award was given to Wilber Pérez, also of the Miners, for his dominance from the mound.
The Manager of the Year award was received by Evaristo Lantigua, from the Reales de Santiago, for his outstanding management of the team.
While the Rookie of the Year award went to Jaims Martínez, from the Mineros de Bonao, for his outstanding debut in the league.
Jean Carlos Henríquez, from the Reales de Santiago, headed the departments of victories and strikeouts, consolidating himself as one of the most dominant figures among pitchers.
Wilber Pérez, from the Mineros, finished with the best effectiveness of the tournament with a brilliant 2.27. On the offensive side, Jomar Reyes led the batting average with .417, while Reyni Reyes, from the Arroceros de San Francisco de Macorís, finished as the home run leader. Randy Bravo, from the Bravos de La Vega, finished at the top of the RBIs and also shared the hits leadership with Lolo Sánchez, from the Mineros de Bonao, both with 27 hits. The Summer Baseball League congratulated each of the award winners for their dedication and performance, and reaffirmed its commitment to continue strengthening this sports project that promotes emerging talent and provides quality entertainment to the country’s communities.
