SANTO DOMINGO, RD.- With five free throws scored in the last minute, the Huellas del Siglo club snatched the victory from Rafael Barias, 64-60, in the closing game of the Sunday schedule in the TBS Distrito 2025 regular season.

Huellas lost 59-60 with 42:9 seconds left in the final time when Miguel Miranda scored a free throw that tied the actions 60-60, after a technical foul on the San Cristobal reinforcement Jonathan Araujo.
Next, Cristo Rey scored four free throws, two of them from the import Demotrius Conger with 41:5 to put the scoreboard 62-60, and another two from the also reinforcement Emmanuel Egbuta with 10:3 and 4:1 seconds, for the final score of 64-60.
Leandro Cabrera worked hard in the paint to achieve a double-double by scoring 14 points and grabbing 15 rebounds, followed by 14 points from Miguel Miranda, 12 baskets and seven rebounds by Demetrius Conger, 10 and nine assists from Anphernee Acevedo and Emmanuel Egbuta had double figures with 10 points and took 12 rebounds.
By El Barias, LJ Figueroa scored 20 points and the imported Austin Trice scored 11 digits and eight rebounds.
The match was held at the Ricardo -Gioriver- Arias Volleyball Palace of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, on the last day of the intergroup matches.
Huellas adds its second consecutive victory and enters the dispute for the classification in group A to the Elimination Phase with a record of 3-4, tied with Los Prados, in third place.
San Carlos dominates this group A with 5-2 and in second place is Mauricio Báez who has 4-3.
For its part, El Barias remains in third position in group B with a 3-4 record, which San Lázaro (5-2) leads and Bameso (4-3) is in second place.
Each group A and B grants three spots to the Elimination Phase, and they carry over their same record obtained in the regular round.
The TBS District 2025 is organized by the National District Basketball Association (Abadina), chaired by Colonel (PN) Diego Pesqueira, and the Organizing Committee is headed by José Ignacio Paliza, Minister of the Presidency.
This year’s event is dedicated to the Dominican Sports Immortal Evaristo Pérez, former member of the national basketball team and former player of the San Carlos squad.
Tuesday GamesThe TBS District 2025 will continue its action of the regular series, which is almost reaching its final stretch, this Tuesday in its 15th activity overall of the regular series out of a total of 20 days.
At 7:00 PM, there will be a match between the Los Prados and Huellas del Siglo clubs, and at 9:00 PM, a jump and scare match between two old acquaintances, the San Carlos and Mauricio Báez teams.
