Predazzo, Italy. – Slovenian Domen Prevc lived up to his favorite status and was proclaimed Olympic champion in the individual large hill ski jumping event at the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, held this Saturday at the Predazzo venue.

Prevc, 26 years old and World Cup leader, signed a outstanding performance in the final. After finishing second in the first round, he launched a spectacular 141.5-meter jump in the second round and scored a total of 301.8 points to win with authority. Japanese Ren Nikaido won the silver medal with 295.0 points, while the Polish Kacper Tomasiak took the bronze after accumulating 291.2 units. Prevc’s individual victory represents his first Olympic gold in an individual event in this edition of the Games, after having previously won the title in the mixed team large hill along with his sister Nika. Domen Prevc’s jump in Predazzo confirms the remarkable season he is starring in and consolidates his place among the benchmarks of world ski jumping, a hope for medals for his country in the remainder of the competition.
