SANTO DOMINGO.- This Monday, the Regional Talent Centers (CRT) program of the Dominican Football Federation was presented at a press conference, an event held in the FDF Press Room under the coordination of the Development Directorate of the federative entity.

The Regional Talent Centers CRT-RD are part of FIFA’s TDS (Talent Development Scheme) Program and their mission is to identify, train and develop the best talents in the country in the North and South regions, ensuring their comprehensive preparation under international standards so that they can integrate into the national teams and, eventually, compete in professional football, both locally and internationally.
The program will be holding tryouts in the months of December 2025 – January 2026, then will move on to the talent identification stage between February and March 2026, and its third stage will be composed of microcycles from April to November 2026. Ramírez explained that: “This program’s main objective is to develop talents in the country, but it is not competitive. The idea is that talents can be worked on in two large regions, the North and the South.” For her part, Betzaida Ubri stated: “The first women’s tryouts will be held from December 7th and the intention is to provide them with tools that allow them to enhance themselves based on a work pattern that will be coordinated by our work team.” Marcelo Neveleff in turn emphasized: “The reality of this project is that those who have to carry it out are the coaches themselves from each region and we will help them with advice or tutoring to ensure that the guidelines are followed. The idea is to get the most out of this program.” It was explained that the idea is to comply with the guidelines and timeframes stipulated by FIFA within the framework of this program so that the FDF can opt for its improvement and be able to raise the level.
