Barcelona retains the crown in the Spanish Super Cup, a title they win for the second consecutive year against Real Madrid in Saudi Arabia. The clásico at Alinma Stadium was decided by Raphinha, after an error in Rodrygo’s pass, with his first goal at 36 minutes. Three goals in added time, from Vinícius and Gonzalo García for Real Madrid, and from Robert Lewandowski for the Blaugrana, sent the match tied at two at halftime. Raphinha decided it in the second half, at 73 minutes, with a shot from the edge of the area whose direction was deflected by Raúl Asencio to mislead Thibaut Courtois. In the 95th minute, Álvaro Carreras missed a clear opportunity to send the match to the penalty shootout.
