SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Republic National Team will begin its participation in the Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers this Thursday, February 5th, when it faces its counterpart from Saint Kitts and Nevis starting at 2:00 p.m. at the Arnos Vale Stadium in the city of Kingstown in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.

This Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers will have eight groups in contention and the winners of each will advance to the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2026. Dominican Republic will compete in Group F alongside Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Kitts and Nevis, and the United States. The remainder of the schedule for the Dominican Republic will be completed on Saturday, February 7th from 3:00 PM against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, to close in what could be the match for the World Cup ticket against the United States on Tuesday, February 10th starting at 2:00 PM. Both matches at the Arnos Vale Stadium itself. The U-17 Sedofútbol, led by the Venezuelan coach Edward Acevedo, has the goalkeepers: Aidan Betances (New York Red Bulls – USA), David Rosario (SD Colonial – RD) and Ian Herrera (Barca Academy – RD). Defenders: Daniel Fernández (Cibao FC – RD), César Mena (Escuela Bauger – RD), Chaiel González (Atlético Los Villanos – RD), Gabriel Florentino (Inter Miami CF – USA), Alejandro López (Rayo Vallecano – Spain) and Marcos Castillo (Barca Academy – RD). Midfielders: Jorge Valenzuela (Barca Academy – RD), Miguel Muñoz (Cibao FC – RD), Marc García (RCD Espanyol – Spain), Byron Matias (FC Chur 97 – Switzerland), Adrián Jaquez (CD Leganés – Spain) and Junior Arias (Del Este FC – RD). Forwards: Jarol Ramos (Jarabacoa FC – RD), Justin Gómez (FC San Isidro – RD), Kamil Castillo (DC United – USA), Luis Almonte (Barca Academy – RD), Hugo González (PDA – USA) and José Luis Mejía (Rayo Vallecano – Spain). The Dominican Selection concentrated in Santo Domingo since last week and closed that preparation phase last Sunday with a training match against the Sedofútbol Sub-20 made up of players from local football. Previously, the national team completed an extensive process of several preparation modules that began in mid-2025. The Quisqueyans traveled last Monday to prepare for their first match of this pre-World Cup.
