Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha has arrived in Santiago to finalize his transfer to Chilean club Colo Colo after several delays caused by documentation and personal issues.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper, one of the breakout stars of the recent FIFA World Cup, was greeted by dozens of fans at the airport, where supporters welcomed him with flags, drums and chants.
Vozinha is scheduled to undergo medical examinations before signing an initial six-month contract with an option to extend for another year. Colo Colo is expected to officially present him on Tuesday as he begins training with his new team.
