The executive president of Banreservas called on new professionals to practice their careers with values and prepare for the challenges of artificial intelligence
Santiago.- The executive president of Banreservas, Leonardo Aguilera, stated that knowledge and academic preparation lack true value when they are not accompanied by ethical principles, while addressing the 1,149 graduates invested by the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM).
“Intelligence without ethics is dangerous”, expressed Aguilera during the graduation ceremony held at the Santiago campus of that university, where he was invited as the keynote speaker.
Addressing the new professionals, the executive maintained that success will not depend solely on the degrees obtained, but also on the ability to adapt to changes, overcome failures, and act with responsibility in the face of the challenges of an increasingly complex society.

He/She considered that resilience, discipline, and perseverance will be essential tools for navigating a labor market marked by technological innovation and digital transformation.
Aguilera dedicated part of her speech to reflecting on the impact of artificial intelligence, a phenomenon that, in her view, distinguishes the current generation from previous ones and poses unprecedented challenges for professional practice.
However, he maintained that the uncertainty generated by these advances also represents an opportunity for learning and growth, while encouraging graduates to maintain an attitude of continuous training.
“The day you think you know it all, you will have started to lose the ability to grow and learn,” he warned.
The ceremony was led by the rector of PUCMM, Reverend Father Secilio Espinal, and brought together academic authorities, professors, family members, and special guests at the university’s 114th graduation.
