The activity took place in the El Dique sector and is part of the institution’s efforts to promote environmental sustainability, while offering a direct benefit to the families in the area.
Director Shailyn Sosa highlighted that this initiative constitutes a comprehensive effort that unites environmental sustainability and economic development in the communities near the Ozama.
“This project not only seeks to protect our natural resources, but also to strengthen the well-being and living conditions of the residents of this area,” Sosa expressed.
In its 12 years of operation, the “Vida para el Ozama” program has impacted thousands of people and has managed to collect more than seven million pounds of plastics on the banks of the Ozama River, establishing itself as one of the most relevant social and environmental initiatives in the country.

As part of the activity, the facilities of the Movearte Río Ozama School were visited and a tour of the community was carried out, with the aim of identifying new opportunities and collaboration needs, as well as giving continuity to high-impact social projects.
