Skild AI, a company focused on developing artificial intelligence for machines, has released a video showing its S1 humanoid robot playing soccer.
The company trained the robot in an Nvidia simulator, where it accumulated the equivalent of 140 years of virtual soccer experience by competing against copies of itself.
Focused on scoring goals, the robot learned skills including dribbling and protecting the ball. Those abilities were later transferred to its physical version, which appears in the video wearing the Argentina national team jersey.
