Telegram founder and CEO Pavel Durov announced that the messaging platform will soon roll out what he described as “the largest deployment of a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet in human history.” The initiative will integrate a native crypto wallet directly into the Telegram app.
According to Durov, the new wallet will allow users to send cryptocurrency instantly and without fees to other Telegram users, making digital asset transfers faster and more accessible.
The entrepreneur said the feature will be available across all Telegram applications and aims to bring cryptocurrency payments and digital assets to more than 1 billion users, significantly expanding access to blockchain-based financial services within the platform.
