Santo Domingo.– A 29-year-old man lost his life this Thursday afternoon after receiving a gunshot wound in the Villa Juana sector, in the National District.
The victim was identified as Wilson Osvaldo Bello Cuevas, who, according to preliminary information, had a gunshot wound on the right side of his face.
According to accounts obtained at the scene, the incident may be related to an argument that occurred the previous night. Witnesses indicated that, allegedly, during the altercation the deceased had slapped another person, although this information has not been officially confirmed by the authorities.

Bello Cuevas resided on Mauricio Báez Street, between 21st and 23rd Streets, in the Villa Juana sector.

Members of the Central Directorate of Investigation (Dicrim) remain at the scene collecting evidence and investigating the circumstances under which the incident occurred, with the goal of identifying and apprehending the person responsible.
The body was removed from the scene by an emergency services unit and transported for the corresponding procedures, while investigations continue.
