911 System coordinates assistance following multiple traffic accident on Jacinto Peynado bridge

Santo Domingo.– The National Emergency and Security Attention System 911 coordinated assistance following a traffic accident in which a car and a motorcycle collided on the Jacinto Peynado bridge, in which a person fell into the river and has not been located. Four people were taken to nearby health centers to receive specialized medical care. For the attention of the incident, four ambulances from the Directorate of Emergency Extrahospitalary Attention Services (DAEH), six units of the National Police, two units of the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT), two units of the National District Fire Department and one unit of the 911 Drone team were deployed.

So far, the body of the person who fell into the river has not been located; however, teams from the Civil Defense, the National District Fire Department, and the 911’s Drone team (911 ) continue the search efforts.
