Santo Domingo.– The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, will be presented as a candidate to preside over the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) for the 2026-2028 period, heading a single consensus slate that will be submitted for consideration by the National Assembly of Delegates.
The proposal will be presented this Sunday, August 9, during the National Assembly of Delegates of the ruling party, convened for 9:00 in the morning at the Sheraton hotel, in Santo Domingo.
At the meeting, more than a thousand delegates will elect by acclamation the new authorities who will lead the political organization for the next two years.
The formation of a single slate reflects the consensus reached within the PRM for the selection of its new leadership, which will have the responsibility of leading the party in the 2026-2028 period.
