Authorities carry out pothole repair work in El Limón prior to Holy Week 2026

El Limón, Samaná, R.D. In a joint effort, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, the City Hall of the municipal district of El Limón and the Provincial Government of Samaná began important patching works in various streets of this demarcation. The mayor of the municipal district of El Limón, engineer Fernando Mercado (Rafy), reported that these works are part of an intervention plan that is being carried out in a coordinated manner throughout the community, with the aim of improving road conditions. Market explained that these works are the result of a meeting held at the Ministry of Public Works and Communications, headed by the provincial governor, Teodora Mullix Geraldino, along with deputy Cecilio García (Pimpe) and other municipal authorities. As part of the agreements reached, the priority execution of these works was arranged, with a view to ensuring that the main streets of the municipal district of El Limón are in optimal conditions before the Easter break of 2026.

The authorities highlighted the importance of this intervention to ensure safer transit, both for residents and visitors, especially at a time when the flow of people to this tourist area of the province of Samaná increases significantly.
