Santo Domingo. – Vice President Raquel Peña inaugurated this Saturday 608 apartments out of a total of 1008 units located in the Hato Nuevo IV Project, in Santo Domingo Oeste, which were financed by the Banco de Reservas as part of the Mi Vivienda and Familia Feliz programs.
While speaking at the event, the executive president of Banreservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, mentioned that the financing, at low interest rates, of the 1,008 units amounts to RD$1.77 billion, which will allow the beneficiary families to have decent, comfortable, and welcoming spaces.
He added that in collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Buildings, the Bank has financed more than 10,200 homes throughout the country, with an investment that exceeds RD$15,000 million.
“These figures are not just statistics, they are changed lives, they are keys that open doors to new possibilities, they are stories that begin with hope and faith,” he referred.
He affirmed that each of the 608 homes inaugurated in the Hato Nuevo housing complex, more than concrete, roofs and walls, represents the opportunity to start a new life, to look to the future with hope and offer the children of the residents a decent space to grow, learn and be happy.

Aguilera maintained that this project, like all those that have been promoted through the Mi Vivienda and Familia Feliz programs, constitute proof that when the public and financial sectors work hand in hand, the results directly impact people’s quality of life.
He thanked President Luis Abinader for trusting Banreservas as an ally in this great national mission, as well as the team from the Ministry of Housing and Buildings, who have put their effort and professionalism into fulfilling the social commitment of facilitating thousands of Dominicans to be able to acquire their own home.
