Banreservas Tower: starting point for the 47th edition of the National Independence Cycling Tour

This third stage of the competition covers a distance of 158 kilometers to Rancho Arriba and features the participation of 110 cyclists from 23 teams The Banreservas Tower once again became the starting point of the third stage of the traditional National Independence Cycling Tour in its 47th edition, where dozens of cyclists began the 158-kilometer route. Fernando Mir, Senior Executive Vice President of Strategy, Finance and Commercial Intelligence, speaking on behalf of Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, Executive President of Banreservas, stated that the mission of the financial institution is to promote the well-being of Dominicans, which is achieved by supporting sports. He said that this sporting event surpasses itself every year, so he congratulated the Dominican Cycling Federation, the organizing committee, and the cyclists participating in this traditional competition.

“Cycling is a sport that involves a lot of sacrifice, a lot of effort and a lot of discipline and with the starting signal that we give today we want you competitors to give your best effort and that the best one wins”, Mir pointed out.

The bank executive also reaffirmed Banreservas’ commitment to contribute to the success of this sporting event, which is already part of the commemorative activities of National Independence. On his part, Jorge Blas Díaz, president of the Dominican Cycling Federation, thanked Banreservas for the support received for the realization of the traditional National Independence Cycling Tour, which reaches its 47th version and is already recognized as an event of international significance. This third stage of the cycling competition covers a distance of 158 kilometers towards Rancho Arriba and has the participation of 110 cyclists in 23 teams. The starting signal of the Vuela Ciclista Independencia Nacional featured the participation of Nelson Encarnación, Public Relations advisor; Linda Valette, Vice President of Strategic Business Programs; Gustavo Polanco, Senior Director of Personal Business Metropolitan Area, South and East; Robinson Portorreal, Senior Director of Personal Business Management and Commercial Offices of Banreservas, who presented the jerseys to the team leaders. Also present were other directors of the Dominican Cycling Federation and members of the organizing committee. The significance of this cycling competition has also become a sports tourism attraction, drawing competitors from different countries who take the opportunity to physically prepare for other global profile races.
