Businessman reports having been outraged and detained while going to verify equipment in La Cuaba

Santo Domingo.- Businessman Luis Espinal, the contractor in charge of the equipment used for the preparation of the land where a recycling plant is intended to be built in the Los Aguacates area, La Cuaba municipal district, reported that he was mistreated when he went to the site to check on his equipment, as he does daily, especially on Saturdays, because there was a movement of people in the area.
Espinal explained that he went to the scene only to find out what was happening, but he was arrested by police officers. Subsequently, he was released.
The businessman stated that the situation is worrying, because both his employees and his company have been affected by the camp set up on the property by people who are demanding that the recycling plant not be built.
In that sense, Espinal asked the authorities to intervene and seek a solution to the conflict that has been generated in the area.
He also denied having been involved in a confrontation with the members of the camp and assured that he would be incapable of provoking a conflict in a place where, furthermore, he resides.
