For his part, Saúl Villajos, executive president of Dominicredit, announced important financing projects in favor of the members of Camep, including the doubling of the investment capital, a new reduction in the interest rate and the continuity of a financial policy without hidden charges. Meanwhile, Mr. Álvarez emphasized that the objective is to strengthen financial education and ensure that the financed projects are sustainable and viable. He also reported that the acquisition of Bancomuna will allow the development of a purchasing center to facilitate access to essential products at lower costs, directly benefiting grocery stores and small businesses affiliated with Camep. The event was attended by a delegation of international investors from Spain, Switzerland, Colombia, and Brazil. Also present was Deputy Mayor Leandro González, who valued the role of Camep as a strategic ally for local economic development and the strengthening of the productive sector. Finally, Mr. Villajos reiterated that access to financing managed through Dominicredit will be directed exclusively to active members of the institution, thus strengthening formality, business organization, and sustainable growth. The directive concluded by pointing out that this new stage seeks to generate real opportunities, promote productive projects, and contribute to the economic and social development of the Dominican Republic.At the closing of the event, a musical atmosphere was created with the songs of hope and motivation by the Dominican singer-songwriter Julio Castillo – Castel, who performed the songs Vale la pena and Esfuérzate, being applauded for his dedication and the messages alluding to collective overcoming and unity.
The Camep thus formally marks the beginning of a new institutional cycle, focused on immediate change and the strengthening of the private sector.
