Cameras captured the moment the two thieves steal money in San Cristóbal

San Cristóbal.- They were captured by internal security cameras at the business that was robbed by two antisocials in San Cristóbal, who stole objects and the sum of RD$1,200,000.00 pesos, which money was later divided among police officers. The institution announced the suspension of several National Police officers, including Colonel Carlos José Sidney Kelly, who served as Regional Deputy Director, Captain Deberin Medina, and several other officers, who were suspended and are facing a process of dismissal and legal proceedings. In the audiovisual, it can be observed how the antisocials distracted the money and used a trash can to camouflage the money, the amount of which was stolen by the agents, who only reported the sum of RD$28,000.00 pesos.

The evidence that the agents seized the cash at the scene was captured in a second video showing them surrounding the trash can where the money can be seen inside. The current Director General of the Institution, Ing. Andres Cruz Cruz, said that he would give an exemplary response to this horrendous event that tarnishes the name and uniform of the institution. The case is under investigation by the internal controls of the National Police and in coordination with the Ministry Public.
