Bahoruco. – As part of a beautiful tradition, Lic. José Peña Santana held a warm Christmas lunch for the elderly of the Hogar Alegría, on the occasion of the end-of-year festivities. This event, which is held annually, has become a much-awaited moment for both the residents of the home and the community.

During his speech, Lic. Peña highlighted the work of the Onelia Peña Foundation, which for more than 30 years has been committed to the well-being of the elderly at the Hogar Alegría. Their dedication has made it possible to provide moments of joy and companionship to those who have gone through different stages of life, thus reaffirming the value of respect and care for our senior citizens.

The lunch not only offered a delicious variety of typical dishes of the season, but also served as a space to share laughter, stories and the human warmth that characterizes these festivities. Attendees enjoyed a festive atmosphere, filled with music and good company.

The commitment of the Onelia Peña Suberví Foundation and the community of Neyba was reflected in every gesture and detail of this lunch, strengthening intergenerational bonds and remembering the importance of caring for and valuing our senior citizens, who deserve to be celebrated and recognized always.
