Cleveland.– The Cleveland Clinic medical center was included among the best hospitals in the world on the World’s Best Hospitals list for 2026, compiled by Newsweek magazine.
In the ranking, Cleveland Clinic holds a prominent position among the leading hospital centers globally, solidifying its reputation as one of the most influential healthcare systems in the world.
Also, several hospitals affiliated with the system were also recognized among the best 250 in the world, including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, and Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital.
Cleveland Clinic CEO and President Tom Mihaljevic highlighted that the recognition reflects the institutional commitment to patient-centered care.

Recognitions within the ranking
In the global list published by Newsweek, seven hospitals belonging to Cleveland Clinic achieved prominent positions: Cleveland Clinic Fairview Hospital, Weston Hospital, Akron General, Hillcrest Hospital, Avon Hospital, and Marymount Hospital. In addition, Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi was ranked as the number one hospital in the United Arab Emirates.
Evaluation Criteria
According to Newsweek, the ranking is based on multiple data sources, including recommendations from medical experts — including doctors, hospital directors, and other healthcare professionals —, hospital quality metrics, evaluations of patient experience, and results from international surveys conducted by the research firm Statista.
In another ranking published in 2025 by the same magazine, it was also recognized as the second-best smart hospital in the world, in addition to leading globally in specialties such as cardiology and urology.
Founded in 1921 in Cleveland, Cleveland Clinic is a non-profit, multispecialty academic medical center that combines clinical care, research, and medical education.
