CNE approves new manuals to streamline renewable energy project concessions

Santo Domingo.- The National Energy Commission (CNE) approved new procedure manuals for power generation concession applications from renewable sources, specifically for solar photovoltaic and wind projects.

The measure was formalized through Resolution No. CNE-AD-006-2026, with the objective of establishing clearer and more organized guidelines for the submission, evaluation, and processing of projects seeking to be developed under the framework of Law No. 57-07 on Incentives for the Development of Renewable Energy Sources and its Special Regimes.

The new manuals detail the legal, technical, and financial requirements that applicants must meet during the different stages of the process, from the application for a provisional concession to obtaining the final concession and access to the special incentive regime.
