COD Commission delivers technical report to the new Fedomes committee

Santo Domingo. – In an atmosphere of broad fellowship and exchange of information, the commission appointed by the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD) to follow up on the technical and administrative work of the Dominican Fencing Federation (Fedomes) officially delivered the report of the work carried out to the new executive committee of that entity, chaired by Gilberto Soriano Román. During the meeting, Major General Pilot (r) Elvis Marcelino Feliz Pérez explained to Soriano Román all the work done to ensure the continuity of preparations for the participation of that discipline in the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games 2026, to be held in the country from July 24 to August 8. Happy Pérez detailed the progress and actions taken during the period he was in charge of the commission, highlighting the efforts aimed at maintaining the operability and technical development of Dominican fencing. Likewise, he expressed his gratitude for the treatment, consideration, and appreciation shown by the new executive committee of Fedomes towards the work carried out by the commission appointed by the COD.

For his part, Soriano Román expressed his gratitude to the Dominican Olympic Committee for the designation of said commission, recognizing that the decision responded to the higher interest of sport and athletes. Soriano Román reiterated to Feliz Pérez that the doors of Fedomes remain open for him to continue contributing from his experience and leadership, pointing out that this is not a closure, but rather a permanent invitation to continue contributing to the strengthening of Dominican fencing. In the meeting, Gleni Samuel and Alodia Rodríguez also participated; coaches Augusto García and Carlos Vega, as well as technical director Randal Hernández.
