Community members and contractor clash again over recycling plant project in La Cuaba

La Cuaba, Pedro Brand.- Tension escalated again this Monday between community members who oppose the construction of a recycling plant in the municipal district of La Cuaba and the contractor responsible for the project, after residents once again blocked his access to the land and the use of work equipment.

The community members reiterated that they will not allow the resumption of work until the Government makes a definitive decision regarding the future of the project, as they consider that their concerns have not yet been addressed.

In response, businessman Luis Espinal stated that the work stoppage is causing significant economic losses and directly affecting dozens of workers and their families, who depend on that employment for their livelihood.

Espinal also denounced that sectors linked to political organizations could be promoting the opposition
