The National Council of Private Enterprise (CONEP) assumed the presidency of the Federation of Private Entities of Central America, Panama and the Dominican Republic (FEDEPRICAP) last Thursday.
The event took place within the framework of the Federation’s General Assembly of Presidents, where representatives from the region’s main business organizations gathered to define the strategic lines of work for the 2025-2026 period.
In the session, the president of CONEP, Celso Juan Marranzini, highlighted that regional integration is fundamental to strengthen the competitiveness of economies, attract investments, boost productivity, and guarantee democratic stability and opportunities for the people of the region.
During its management, which will last for one year, CONEP will prioritize two major lines of action: the institutional strengthening of the Federation and the promotion of a regional advocacy agenda.
Among the commitments undertaken are completing the legal constitution of the Federation in Panama, reincorporating the CONEP of Panama, strengthening institutional financing, and promoting active participation in the Americas Business Summit, which will take place in December of this year in the Dominican Republic.

In addition, coordinated monitoring of the economic and political situation of the member countries will be promoted, with a view to preserving stability, fostering intraregional trade and strengthening ties with international organizations.
FEDEPRICAP brings together the main business organizations of the isthmus and has been working since its creation to promote public policies that strengthen competitiveness, employment, and democratic stability in the region.
