The proceeds from the Corales Puntacana Championship benefit the social and environmental projects and initiatives of the Puntacana Foundation. The funds donated through the tournament’s Sponsor Value Program have supported the development of the initiatives carried out by Grupo Puntacana for the benefit of the community.This translates to more than 150,000 people receiving medical assistance in their public-private medical centers and more than 7,000 high school students and technicians graduating from their educational centers.
About Corales Golf Course
Located in Puntacana Resort, the Corales golf course is home to the first and only PGA Tour Event in the Dominican Republic, and was designed by the world-renowned architect Tom Fazio. Opened in 2010, it is located next to the cliffs, bays, natural ocean inlets, inland lakes and coral quarries of the Caribbean Sea. It has 18 holes, six of them facing the sea and culminates with its last three holes known as the “devil’s elbow”, which is positioned among the most spectacular and difficult final holes in the world.
