A vessel from the US oil company Chevron carrying Venezuelan crude oil has set sail from the Latin American country to the United States, Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez announced this Sunday, highlighting Caracas’ fulfillment of the commitments made.
“A ship from the American company Chevron sets sail from our country with Venezuelan oil bound for the United States, in strict adherence to the regulations and in compliance with the commitments made by our oil industry,” wrote the also Minister of Hydrocarbons on her Telegram channel, underlining that “Venezuela has always been and will continue to be respectful of national and international legality.”
If the tanker’s output occurs amid tensions between the two nations, stemming from Washington’s strong campaign of harassment against Caracas.
