The Senate Democratic leader, Chuck Schumer, introduced a resolution this Monday urging the Upper House to take legal action against the Department of Justice for not having disclosed all the documents of the case of the pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as required by law.
“The American people deserve full transparency, and Senate Democrats will use every tool at our disposal to ensure it. We cannot allow this administration to hide the truth,” Schumer asserted in a statement on social media.
Last Friday, the Department of Justice launched a website to consult the documents of the Epstein investigation, after Congress passed a law that obliges the Government to disclose all unclassified information from the case.

However, the prosecution acknowledged that there will be delays in the full publication of the documents due to the large volume of data and the complexity of the information.
“The public received only a fraction of the files, and what was disseminated was riddled with abnormal and excessive redactions, without any explanation. At the same time, the identities of numerous victims were left uncensored, causing real and immediate harm,” Schumer denounced.
The controversy erupted this weekend upon learning that the Department of Justice removed more than a dozen images, including photographs of President Donald Trump, which were subsequently reincorporated into the archive.
Among them is an image of Epstein’s desk in which a drawer with several photographs of Trump next to women in swimsuits can be seen.
