Santo Domingo.– The Chamber of Deputies paid tribute this Tuesday to the prominent communicator and photojournalist Franklin Guerrero, by observing a minute of silence in his memory during a plenary session.
The initiative was presented by deputy Ramón Raposo, who highlighted the professional trajectory and human quality of Guerrero, whom he defined as a professional committed to communication, ethics, and service to Dominican society.
During his speech, Raposo highlighted the important legacy left by the renowned photojournalist, especially through the photo-chronicle, a discipline from which he documented relevant political, social, and cultural events in the country, contributing to the preservation of the national historical memory.

Likewise, he recalled the courage with which Franklin Guerrero faced a prolonged battle against cancer for more than four years, maintaining strength and determination until the end of his days.
The request was accepted by the legislators present, who joined in the posthumous tribute in recognition of Guerrero’s valuable contributions to journalism and communication in the Dominican Republic.
