DNA Director states that investment in Los Platanitos lagoon will amount to more than RD$ 7 million pesos

Santo Domingo.- The director of Maintenance and Community Works of the National District City Hall, Eury Concepción, reported that the rehabilitation of the Los Platanitos sector lagoon is in a first stage of the process. During a visit to the sector led by President Luis Abinader, accompanied by Mayor Carolina Mejía, the official explained that a phased plan is being executed that includes the construction of new drainage systems and the recovery of existing ones for an investment amount exceeding RD$7 million pesos.

“We are building two steel filters and, in a second stage, we will build four more”, highlighted the engineer while explaining that the community’s land presents clayey conditions, which limits water absorption and causes significant accumulations. According to Concepcion, the rehabilitation is expected to include other 8 existing filters.
