San Pedro de Macorís.– In an atmosphere filled with smiles, games, and a spirit of solidarity, the Association of Former Students of Don Bosco College (EGEDONBOSCO), in strategic alliance with the Mamá Dida Foundation and Impacta Kids, carried out a successful toy distribution operation in the community of Ingenio Consuelo.
The initiative positively impacted around 150 children from low-income backgrounds, who enjoyed a day dedicated to healthy recreation and the celebration of childhood. The activity is part of the social commitment that former Salesian students maintain with the most vulnerable communities in the country.
Representatives of EGEDONBOSCO highlighted that the operation goes beyond the delivery of a material gift, becoming a reaffirmation of the human and Christian formation that characterizes them.
“Our main goal is to bring joy to the most deprived communities and continue to set a positive example in society. We put into practice the values learned in the Salesian courtyards: the value of giving, of serving and, above all, of protecting and accompanying the youngest,” said directors of the association.
The collaboration with the Mamá Dida Foundation and Impacta Kids allowed us to broaden the scope of the activity, ensuring that each child received a detail designed to foster their creativity and happiness. The participating organizations emphasized the importance of creating support networks focused on the sectors that most require attention and solidarity.
During the event, Ingenio Consuelo was filled with life and enthusiasm. Parents and guardians thanked the gesture of the institutions, highlighting the relevance of this type of initiatives that bring hope, recreation and accompaniment to Dominican children.
