María Trinidad Sánchez.- The Supérate Social Development Directorate carried out this Friday the second delivery of the Emergency Bonus in the amount of RD$7,000 to 403 families affected by the torrential rains in the María Trinidad Sánchez province last February.
In a first phase, carried out last April, 370 families in this province benefited, for a total investment exceeding RD$5,000,000.
The general director of Supérate, Mayra Jiménez, highlighted that with these actions the Dominican Government reaffirms its commitment to accompany and protect families in vulnerable situations due to climate change with timely responses and a rights-based approach.
Likewise, he highlighted that in the María Trinidad Sánchez province, Supérate currently benefits 32,192 families through programs such as Aliméntate, Bonogás, Bonoluz, Supérate Mujer, Aprende y Avanza, as well as the subsidy destined for households with children and adolescents with disabilities.
The families benefiting from the Emergency Bonus belong to the localities of Nagua, El Factor, Las Gordas, Matancitas and Arroyo al Medio, where hundreds of homes were affected by the floods.

The selection of households was carried out based on the surveys and data validation processes conducted by the Single System of Beneficiaries (SIUBEN), considering the level of impact identified through the Basic Emergency Form (FIBE), to ensure that assistance reaches the most vulnerable households in a timely manner.
With the purpose of streamlining the redemption process, mobile Banreservas units were installed so that beneficiary families can access their bonuses quickly and securely.
The Emergency Bonus is part of the Dominican Government’s Adaptive Social Protection strategy, designed to provide timely responses to the most vulnerable households and strengthen their resilience in the face of crisis situations, emergencies, and unforeseen contingencies.
