The French National Assembly approved this Monday the bill to prohibit access to social networks for minors under 15 years of age and ban mobile phones in high schools, with the aim that the measure can be applied from the beginning of the next school year. After a long debate that lasted until after midnight, the French deputies gave their support to the measure with 130 votes in favor against 21 against.

This project, presented through an urgent procedure, will now need the green light from the Senate to come into effect from next September 1st.
