GBC Foundation recognizes 56 meritorious students with the delivery of computers

Santo Domingo.– The GBC Foundation recognized 56 meritorious students this Friday who are completing high school, as part of the launch of its GBC Foundation for Education program, an initiative that seeks to encourage academic excellence and support the educational development of outstanding young people.

During the ceremony, each of the students received a laptop, with the purpose of providing them with a tool that contributes to their academic training and their entry into higher education.

The president of the GBC Foundation, Raymond Rodríguez, highlighted that this is the first year the organization has carried out this type of recognition, which will be aimed primarily at public school students with outstanding performance.

“Today we are recognizing 56 meritorious students who have worked hard throughout an entire school year and have achieved very good grades. We not only work in the area of health, but also in education, because we understand that it is one of the most important pillars for building a better future,” he/she expressed.

Rodríguez also thanked the work of the principals and teachers who participated in the student selection process, highlighting the commitment they maintain to the education of the youth.

He explained that the selection of the beneficiaries was carried out in coordination with the educational centers, whose teachers and principals evaluated the students’ academic performance to identify those who achieved the best results.

Likewise, he announced that the program will continue and that the GBC Foundation will maintain this recognition annually, with the goal of motivating more students to achieve academic excellence.

With this initiative, the foundation reaffirms its commitment to strengthening education in the Dominican Republic, promoting merit, effort, and equal opportunities for young people.
