New York.- Google presented this Wednesday its new line of Pixel 11 smartphones, devices that bet on artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the zoom of their cameras and even to turn the device into a teleprompter.
Within the framework of its annual ‘Made by Google’ hardware event, the main presentation of which will be held this Wednesday afternoon in New York and will feature comedian Trevor Noah as host, the company announced a family of phones that includes the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold models.
Google highlighted that the main focus of this generation, powered by the new Tensor G6 processor, is a deeper integration of AI into photography and video.
Telephoto camera powered by AI
The new camera uses an AI diffusion model to fill in visual details when extreme zoom is applied, reaching up to 120x on the Pro model and 30x on the Google Pixel 11, as a spokesperson explained to EFE in a pre-event demonstration.
Once the photo is taken, the user has two results in their gallery: one is the AI-enhanced version—in which an almost flawless image can be seen—and the other is what the camera originally sees, where a more pixelated image is shown.

Photos that have been retouched by AI are labeled with C2PA content credentials -a digital watermark-, so in the metadata it will be possible to see that the image was edited with artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, if a person is detected in the photo, the AI enhancement is not applied to them. This means that, although the background recreated by the AI may look extremely sharp, faces might appear slightly blurrier compared to the rest of the scene, thus preserving the authenticity of the subjects.
AI chooses the photo
This new generation of phones will incorporate a new mode called ‘Magic Capture’, a feature that allows you to record a video and then offers the best photos by selecting the action or most expressive moments.

For example, if a basketball game is recorded, the AI will select snapshots such as the moment the ball goes into the hoop and when the team celebrates the score.
Features designed for content creators
Added to this is a new ‘Creator Suite’ in the video settings that includes an integrated teleprompter that scrolls automatically as the user speaks.
