Government begins housing and street rehabilitation project in the Los Suizos sector, Monte Plata
Monte Plata.– The Dominican government initiated this Monday the project “Habitat Rehabilitation” in the Los Suizos sector, an initiative executed by the Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED) with the aim of improving the living conditions of families in vulnerable communities in the province of Monte Plata.
The act was led by the Minister of Housing, Víctor Orlando Bisonó (Ito Bisonó), who explained that the program includes the repair and reconstruction of homes, construction of sidewalks and curbs, paving of streets and other improvements in the community environment.
During his intervention, the official informed that the estimated investment for the province is around 350 million pesos, resources that will be distributed in different municipalities to benefit several communities through urban improvements and the rehabilitation of housing.
In the activity, the director of the Airport Department, Víctor Pichardo, also participated, who positively valued the beginning of the project and highlighted that it is a work expected by the residents of the Los Suizos sector.
Pichardo expressed that this initiative represents a significant social impact for the municipality, as it will contribute to improving the quality of life of dozens of families who for years had requested the intervention of their streets and homes.
