Santo Domingo– As part of its national training program, Star Sport held its third session on Anti-Money Laundering, Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CTF), and Responsible Gaming, aimed at representatives of its points of sale in Greater Santo Domingo.
The opening was led by Xiomara Martínez, Compliance Officer, together with Rómula Santana, Compliance Analyst, who reaffirmed Star Sport’s commitment to continuous training and the strengthening of an organizational culture based on regulatory compliance, transparency, and risk prevention.
During his speech, Martínez highlighted that each training session allows for strengthening the competencies of the point-of-sale representatives and contributes to ensuring that Star Sport’s operations are carried out in accordance with current regulations and industry best practices.
Likewise, he highlighted that these actions help consolidate a culture of compliance throughout the organization, promoting safer and more responsible processes.

The first lecture was given by Dr. Jaime Manuel Martínez Yepes, psychiatrist and representative of the Comprehensive Addiction Care Center (CAIDEP), who addressed the topic of Responsible Gambling, highlighting the importance of prevention, education, and early detection to protect the mental health of clients and collaborators.
Martínez Yepes thanked Star Sport for promoting these types of initiatives and reiterated CAIDEP’s commitment to continue supporting actions aimed at the prevention of addictions and the promotion of a culture of responsible gaming.
Subsequently, Emerson Díaz Cabral, from Antilavado Díaz Cabral, S.R.L., provided training on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT), where he highlighted the importance of keeping staff updated on regulatory changes, new methods used by criminal organizations, and international best practices.
Díaz Cabral pointed out that ongoing training strengthens the technical capabilities of the staff, fosters a culture based on ethics and transparency, and contributes to reducing regulatory and reputational risks.
