Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Interior and Police continues to bring essential services, guidance, and concrete responses to vulnerable communities through the “Guarantee of Peace in Your Community” prevention workshops, an initiative aimed at violence prevention, social inclusion, peaceful coexistence, and collective well-being.
During the current year 2026, six sessions have been held in Las Uvas (La Vega); La Ciénaga, Villas Agrícolas, and Los Guandules (National District); El Seibo; and San Francisco de Macorís, benefiting nearly 5,000 people.
As part of the community interventions, actions have been carried out for the recovery and conditioning of public spaces, the delivery of sports equipment, and educational activities and training aimed at strengthening peaceful coexistence, inclusion, community leadership, and a culture of peace.
The sessions are carried out through the coordination of different public institutions, security agencies, and social entities, which integrate their capabilities to offer concrete and timely solutions to the population. Among the institutions that have confirmed their participation are the National Health Insurance (SENASA) and the National Institute for Technical Professional Training (INFOTEP).

As well as the National Council for the Aging (CONAPE), the Supérate program, the Neighborhood Commission, the Ministry of Labor, through its actions for the eradication of child labor, the Vocational School of the Armed Forces and the National Police, as well as the recruitment areas of the Armed Forces and the National Police.
“Guarantee of Peace in your Community” represents a concrete way of building security through prevention, by listening to people, bringing services closer, and responding in an articulated manner to the needs of each territory.
Through this program, the Ministry of Interior and Police reaffirms its commitment to promoting public policies aimed at violence prevention, the reduction of risk factors, and the strengthening of safer, more inclusive, and peaceful communities.
