Santo Domingo. Every July 6th, International Kissing Day is commemorated, a symbolic date that celebrates spontaneous gestures of affection and romanticism between people who share a bond of trust and consent.

Although its origin is not clearly documented, the commemoration has become popular in different countries as an occasion to highlight the kiss as one of the most universal expressions of affection, love, and emotional connection.
