Santo Domingo.– The director of the National Institute of Transit and Land Transportation (Intrant), Milton Morrison, assured that there will be no increase in the price of public transport fares and urged the public to remain calm in light of the rumors that have circulated in recent days.
Morrison stated that reports of a possible increase are baseless and specified that the Government is not considering implementing a measure of that nature. In that sense, he insisted that there is no official decision regarding a change in transport fares.
“We want to reiterate to the country that they can rest assured, because the issue of a fare increase does not exist and has no backing,” the official stated when referring to the rumors that have caused concern among public transport users.
