Montecristi.-Amid an emotional event held in this province, the Judicial Branch of the Dominican Republic awarded its highest distinction to Maritza Marizol Reynoso, a prominent jurist from the border province of Dajabón.
The Judicial Merit Award is the highest distinction granted by the Judiciary to the Judge or judicial collaborator with 20 or more years of service, taking into account three criteria: length of service, performance evaluation, and must be excellent in consecutive years, and be governed by the principles of the code of ethical behavior.
The very important award was presented this Thursday, March 19, by Magistrate Bionny Zayas Ledesma, member of the Judicial Council and President of the Committee of the Order of Judicial Merit.
Magistrate Reynoso began her work in the Judiciary in 1990 as a clerk in the Dajabon Instruction Court, and has held the positions of secretary, Justice of the Peace, Judge of First Instance and currently Judge of the Court of Appeals of the Judicial Department of Montecristi.
