A Medellín court ordered the President of the Republic, Gustavo Petro Urrego, to refrain from using his X account, official addresses, public events, and other platforms linked to the exercise of his duties to disseminate messages that could favor or harm any of the presidential candidates participating in the electoral runoff.
The decision was adopted by the Twenty-Ninth Labor Circuit Court of Medellin through a provisional measure within a guardianship action filed by citizen Juan Diego Rios Rojas. The judicial authority considered that there are sufficient elements to adopt a preventive measure while the constitutional process is resolved on its merits.

According to the judicial order, the guardianship (tutela) was admitted against the president in his capacity as head of State, head of Government, and supreme administrative authority of the country. Furthermore, the office granted him a period of two days to respond to the allegations raised in the constitutional action.
