Kid Rock and country musicians will be the “patriotic alternative” to Bad Bunny at the Super Bowl
Miami.- Kid Rock and other country singers will give a concert as a “patriotic alternative” to Bad Bunny’s halftime show next Sunday at Super Bowl LX, announced this Monday Turning Point USA, a group of the late ultraconservative leader Charlie Kirk, an ally of President Donald Trump.
“The lineup for the all-American halftime show is here. See Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice, and Gabby Barrett this Sunday,” Turning Point USA reported on its social media. The concert, of which more artists and details will still be revealed, will be broadcast at the same time as Bad Bunny’s show on Turning Point USA’s social media and on conservative channels such as OAN News, Real America’s Voice, TBN, NTD and The National News Desk, pointed out the official website of the event. We recommend reading: J Balvin confirms his reconciliation with Bad Bunny and will attend the Super Bowl Halftime Show
The MAGA show parallel to the Super Bowl
Kirk’s organization, who was murdered last September 10th at a university event in Utah, had announced the concert since October following criticism from Trump and sectors of the MAGA (‘Make America Great Again’) movement against Bad Bunny because he sings in Spanish, although being Puerto Rican he is a U.S. citizen. With the show, whose location is not yet public, the conservative group promises to celebrate “faith, family, and freedom”. Alternative halftime artists are announced one day after Bad Bunny’s historic triumph at the Grammys, as his album ‘DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS’ became the first entirely in Spanish to be crowned the best of the year.In addition, the singer reiterated his criticism of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Service (ICE), which will carry out operations next Sunday in Santa Clara, California, at the match between the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks.
“Before thanking God, I’m going to say: out with ICE,” commented the artist, the most listened to in the world, with 19.8 billion streams on Spotify in 2025.
Faced with controversy, Trump announced that he will not attend the Super Bowl and that he is “against” Bad Bunny and the group Green Day, who will also participate in the show. You can also read: J Balvin confirms his reconciliation with Bad Bunny: “I’m going to see him at the Super Bowl”
“I am against them. I think it’s a terrible choice. The only thing it does is sow hatred. Terrible,” Trump said from the Oval Office to The New York Post, in an interview published on January 24.#Most read
