Santo Domingo.- The government of President Luis Abinader is among the most transparent in the administration of its budgets, according to Latinometrics, an institution dedicated to visualizing the potential of Latin America in markets, business, and trends in the region.
Of 16 Latin American countries evaluated, the government presided over by President Abinader is in third place, close to the top two, Brazil and Mexico, and above 13 other countries such as Peru, Honduras, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina, and Colombia.
Also behind the Dominican Republic were the governments of Ecuador, Paraguay, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Bolivia and Venezuela.
The chart of the ranking of the most transparent Latin American governments is preceded by the question “Have you ever wondered why some Latin American countries hide their budgets while others show every penny spent?”.
Latinometrics is an institution based in New York, which has 147,000 followers and up to 50 employees, defined as a publication that reveals what the traditional media does not show.
