This Wednesday, during a visit to New York City, our team spoke with several Latinos who were touring Times Square, to ask them if they knew or had heard about the reality show that has become the number one on the entire Internet: La Casa de Alofoke. When speaking with visitors from Peru, Honduras, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, it was found that the reality show has broken all barriers, consolidating itself as one of the most viewed digital proposals on the entire Internet, transcending the Dominican public and capturing the attention of the Latin community in general. A young Honduran woman, who is on vacation in New York, spoke with De Último Minuto and claimed to be a faithful fan of the program, declaring herself Team Fruta. “Yes, I see it every night… when I can”, he commented. When asked about his favorite participants, he mentioned Fruta, Michael Torres, and JLexis, claiming to identify with them. He also expressed that, although everyone has the conditions to win, his favorite to take the competition is Fruta.

As a Latina, the young woman highlighted the program’s impact and the pride she feels in seeing how a proposal produced in Latin America can compete and prevail in the digital market against important projects from the Anglo-Saxon industry.

“I feel super proud because I know that many people in many countries are watching it. It makes me very proud because it is very famous, fun and it entertains me,” she added.

Finally, he highlighted that in his country, Honduras, La Casa de Alofoke is practically a curfew and that this phenomenon is not only experienced there, but everywhere where there are connected Latinos.
