Los Alcarrizos.– The president of the Los Alcarrizos City Council, Rafael Hernández, announced a series of protests to denounce the alleged abuses committed by National Police agents in that municipality.
The councilman explained that the call arises in response to constant complaints from citizens who claim to have been victims of irregular actions during police interventions, a situation that, as he stated, has generated concern among residents.
Hernández maintained that the demonstrations seek to draw the attention of the competent authorities so that they investigate the complaints and determine if there were excesses on the part of the agents involved.
Likewise, he indicated that the objective of the days of protest is to demand that respect for citizens’ rights be guaranteed and that police operations be carried out within the framework of the law.
The president of the Council of Aldermen pointed out that citizen security must be accompanied by respect for fundamental rights, which is why he considered it necessary that any report of abuse be investigated with transparency.

Finally, he called on the authorities of the National Police and the Ministry of Interior and Police to listen to the concerns of the community members and adopt the necessary measures to strengthen the population’s trust in the institutions responsible for maintaining public order.
