Punta Cana. – The Corriente Magisterial Juan Pablo Duarte, celebrated the XXVI edition of the National Convivio of Teachers, a day with great success in knowledge and recreation for the benefit of the teaching staff, on this occasion with the theme New Technologies: Innovative resources to improve learning and school management.
The event took place from September 26 to 28 at the Barceló Palace Hotel, Punta Cana, with the participation of more than 400 attendees.
This Convivio featured specialist exhibitors in the technological area such as Dr. Jorge Asjana David who presented the conference: The role of artificial intelligence in universities.
“Artificial intelligence has its pros and cons, it will fundamentally be of great help in everything that has to do with teacher planning in the improvement of knowledge assessment processes in the part that has to do with research and especially in university management”, expressed Dr. Jorge Asjana David.
Besides the central conference, a panel block was held with other experts such as Eng. Amparo Céspedes, who discussed the use of technology to transform education.
Also, teacher Betsy Massiel Santana spoke about AI as a learning tool, and from Colombia, international speaker Nelson Pacheco Gutiérrez, from the perspective of both the Dominican Republic and Colombia, expressed the management of the use of AI in Communication.
The teachers’ meeting was organized by an Organizing Committee chaired by Prof. Domingo Mejía and composed of Francisca Cruz, Jesus Naut, Kilsi Paola Mejía, and the municipal coordinators of the activity.
Also present were teacher María Teresa Cabrera, Professor Menegildo de la Rosa, President of the Juan Pablo Duarte Teaching Current and Sec. Of Com. Of the ADP, Miguelina Estévez, National Vice President of the National Disciplinary Tribunal of the ADP and President of ADP Monción, Félix Rodríguez, National Vice President of the National Council of Commissioners of the ADP.
